Italy Investor Visa: investment and residence
- The initial two-year visa is for eligible non-EU applicants. Restrictions concerning Russian and Belarusian nationals, including relevant dual nationals, require particular attention.
- Options include EUR 2 million in Italian government bonds, EUR 500,000 in an Italian limited company, EUR 250,000 in an eligible innovative startup, or EUR 1 million for a philanthropic initiative.
- The investor visa, long-term residence and citizenship are separate legal stages. Ordinarily, non-EU foreign nationals need at least ten years of legal residence for residence-based naturalisation, together with the other applicable requirements.
- A visa does not automatically confer permanent residence or citizenship. Confirm the investment route, eligibility and procedure before planning residence maintenance and long-term living.
