- An occupation capable of a positive assessment by the relevant authority

What matters most
- 189 is an independent permanent visa; 190 is state or territory nominated and permanent
- 491 is a regional provisional visa with a possible 191 pathway after conditions are met
- A skills assessment and SkillSelect EOI are generally required first
- The 65-point threshold does not guarantee invitation; occupations, quotas and scores change
