The Quebec Immigrant Investor Program allows investors to obtain Canadian permanent residence by investing CAD $1.2 million risk-free through an approved financial intermediary or by financing that investment. Introduced in 1986, with the closure of Canada’s Federal Immigrant Investor program in 2012, the exclusive QIIP is the only Canada investor visa of its kind currently available to international business people.
Basic Requirements
Have a net asset of at least CAD2,000,000 (the principal applicant alone or with his accompanying spouse)
Have management experience held by the principal applicant for at least 2 years of the last 5 years
Agree to invest CAD1,200,000 in a 5-year term note through an approved financial intermediary (this investment can be financed)
Intend to settle in Quebec
Accompany family member: Spouse and dependent child under 22 years old
