Hong Kong New CIES: funds and application stages
- Net-asset and investment requirements are assessed separately. Applicants must demonstrate beneficial ownership of at least HK$30 million in net assets or net equity throughout the six months preceding their net-asset assessment application.
- The minimum HK$30 million investment comprises at least HK$27 million in permissible assets and HK$3 million in the New CIES Investment Portfolio.
- Investment assessment and immigration approval are separate stages. Permanent residence is separately assessed under the Immigration Department’s requirements.
